rakesh.gectcrI am happy to help on porting to Drupal 8.
a.milkovsky@rakesh.gectcr thank you. Please use version 7.x-2.x-dev as base because it is the recent one.
If you have any questions feel free.

francewhoaHi all :) That related ticket will show the D8 porting status on the module project page under "Recommended releases" section at https://www.drupal.org/project/aul
They might need time to activate it.
When done that status block invites additional contributors to join the efforts or get status update on the progress

a.milkovsky@rakesh.gectcr could you please tell if you have any progress?
Else I will work on this issue at https://2015.drupalcamp.at/ sprints.
rakesh.gectcr@a.milkovsky,
I am little busy of porting another module. Please let me know the sprint time, so that I will try to join remotely
Comment #7
a.milkovskyThere are multiple days https://2015.drupalcamp.at/sprints, I will let you know next week.
Also the ACL module port should be checked first, as the AUL module was developed as an improved successor(see the module description).
a.milkovskyFYI I will work on this issue tomorrow.
a.milkovskyI started work. Checkout http://cgit.drupalcode.org/aul?h=8.x-1.x to see changes. WIP.

a.milkovskyDone for today. Did quite some changes in 8.x-1.x. Work in progress.
francewhoaHi all :) a.milkovsky said "I am planning to continue here, use services, events and other cool d8 stuff."
a.milkovsky@Francewhoa as I understand you want to continue development here? That would be cool. I am not developing this module because we do not use it in our projects anymore.
Looking forward to your patches.
francewhoa@a.milkovsky :) Thanks for this suggestion. I would love to contribute port patches. But I'm not a developer. Maybe my last message was not clear. I'm happy to contributed the following:
Thanks for letting us know you that you're not developing this module because your team do not use it in your projects anymore
@All :) Any other volunteers interested to port Aul to Drupal 8?
a.milkovskyI have updated the project status to "Seeking co-maintainer(s)"
I might contribute here, if I have time and some Community sprint.
FYI AUL was a "fork" of ACL. You can use the ACL module as an alternative, if it suits the requirements.
