Problem/Motivation

The root of #2606466: Migration of uid 1 breaks batch upgrade process is that when a Drupal upgrade is running via a batch-based UI under the admin user, the import of the legacy admin account data throws the batch into a nearly-infinite loop of page requests, eventually failing completely. This is because when the admin account data is imported, saving the password change regenerates the session and thus the CSRF token no longer matches that in the batch table.

Proposed resolution

Could User::postSave(), when regenerating the sessions, regenerate and alter the token in the batch table?

I forgot to point out that this is reproducible without the migration process itself changing the admin password - if you start a migration process and change your password in a different tab while it's running, the batch breaks. I haven't tested it, but I would expect this would happen with any kind of batch process, not just migration.
