I'm building my first custom theme with drupal 6. I've put my new theme in sites/all/themes as I did with drupal 5. I've altered the .info file so that Drupal can see the new theme. However, now I can't disable the default theme (Garland) in the administration interface. I can deselect it, but when I try to save settings, it re-enables itself. Can anyone tell me why this is?

Admin Theme
There's a chance that you set an administration theme to show only on the admin pages. You can change this in Administration > Site configuration > Administration theme.
Themes
I've tried that. I can even use my new custom theme as an administration page. Just not for the front end where I want it. Garland keeps re-selecting itself
