Here's the situation:
I've done a fresh install of 6.0, then an upgrade to 6.1 on a new site.
The first item of content I created was the "about us" page as content-type 'page' (node/1).
I've got the path module activated, and the pathauto module installed but no longer activated (in the process of troubleshooting, I have disabled it).
I've also got the global redirect module installed and activated.
Here's the problem:
when I set the URL alias of mydomain.com/node/1 to mydomain.com/company it works just fine, but I don't want to do it that way, I want mydomain.com/company to be the directory within which I keep company-related stuff.
So, I set the URL alias of mydomain.com/node/1 to mydomain.com/company/profile/about and I got the "problem loading page" error message from firefox, along with the error message "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."
Well, just to be thorough, I tried aliasing mydomain.com/node/1 to mydomain.com/company/about and got the same error.
Does anyone have any experience with this? suggestions?
