I noticed the other day that I have no way to navigate to child menu items. I need to do some testing to see if there is a configuration fix for this or if I need to provide some kind of way for ppl to navigate to child menu items on mobile.

Hi, just wondering if you are close to a solution or should we find a workaround. We are thinking of creating a page for the Media top menu that lists the sub-menus: Photo Galleries, Sermon Audio, Video Gallery, and Weekly Bulletin. Thanks

I am pretty sure this is by design.

I also noticed that the default site has 2 "Contact Us" links in the latest version.

I do think its by design but the issue is that there's no way to get to the child menu items. I think I need to render a second block underneath that has the 2nd level items.

Added menu block for media links to 2.x-dev. Will want to do some more testing. The only downside is that if you have added a menu block prior then it could have some weird side effects.

I'm not seeing this as fixed. When I tap the menu bar on my Samsung Galaxy S3, I get the top level menu only. I get no lower level items. When I pick the Media menu, which this thread seemed to say was working, I'm taken to the Photo Galleries, and I see no mention of any other child links. I've seen other Superfish menus that do fully support child levels, (some of the other Superfish blocks currently in OpenChurch) so I know it can be done; however I much prefer the default OpenChurch menu. I find it much more visually pleasing.

I looked into this some, and saw mention relating to OpenChurch 1, talking about changing a couple of settings to have the second level dropdowns work. Am I unreasonable to think that this is a setting that should be working by default, right out of the box?

Yes, I suppose a work-around would be to have the top level menu option land on a page with the child items listed, such as the ABOUT page does; but again, Superfish *has* the ability to support child-level items. I'm not very advanced as a developer, but this would seem to me like it should be a pretty simple fix.
