We have a concept but have not been able to find a module that does an auto login url in email. We are wanting to track an email campaign responses. Using the internal tracking for registered members a drupal site should provide enough information when a link in an email is clicked. The issue would most likely be the need for a link that would auto login the user without any interruption on the way to a given page. Perhaps a onetime use time limited of a few days. The email would be text with html links.

We have decided to use Simplenews and the Simplenews Scheduler to accomplish the email activity for new signups. We will also create an account for each signup. Ownership of this account is not necessarily required knowledge for this process. A rules workflow based webform can accomplish this portion of the concept.

The missing piece seems to be a unique url being generated in the email for a specified landing page that does a non-obvious login for the registered user.

Any ideas along this concept?

Secure Site - https://drupal.org/project/securesite seems to have part of the puzzle. Getting these into a Simplenews email might just be the first step to see if we can get this close with standard modules.

Isn't this exactly what E-mail Auto Login is supposed to accomplish?
