Menu Trouble: Unable to "add Menu"/"add Menu Item" w/ or w/o taxonomy_menu active though states successful.

In attempting to "add Menu" or "add Menu Item" under .../?q=admin/menu, it will always state it's OK with "Updated menu item..." etc after trying to add new menu items. But nothing shows remotely even new - almost like the entry never happened AND no log errors.

Have tried to enable Taxonomy_Menu or disable Taxonomy_Menu to see if this will make a difference.

Manipulating this component of Drupal 4.5 is not working since full install of this newest version of Drupal.

Is there something I'm missing?

ONLY when trying to "add menu" it will add a notation of:

"Since a menu item calendar already exists for , this new menu item was created as a shortcut to that location."

Don't know what the comma ' , ' within the system's feedback is meaning to represent. AND 'calendar' isn't the menu item I'm trying to add, it will say that for whatever I try to add.

In addition to this, I can see my successful additions in my Database under Menu! So it's not outputting new changes to my website.

I really would appreciate any insight as this problem is still prevalent.

Just performed the 4.5.1 fix a week ago and no change.

I have documented my problems and refered to the problems of others in an issue found here

http://drupal.org/node/16879

If you find your way here and are still having problems, please add a comment to the issue referenced above - at present someone has closed this issue and is suggesting the problem is in the image and buddy modules...
