I am currently trying to design a site (glitBOY.com) that will require me to have a slideshow of some sort on the front page going threw the latest videos that have posted and once you click on a video it will transport you to the page.

Here are a few examples of websites that have this feature that I would like it to be similar to:
http://normalboots.com/
http://www.gametrailers.com/
or even http://cinemassacre.com/

I have attempted to do this with DDBlocks but failed. I am just looking for the most simple (hopefully not having to go into the code) and easiest way to do this. I would not mind if I had to add an image file for the front page as long as it looks neat and clean.

Take a look at these two modules:

Is there anyway to make slideshow show 1 image and you need to click on it to continue on with the video, even if there is some node type I have to download to do it.

I would imagine something like this would work:

  1. Create a content type for your videos with CCK (if you haven't already)
  2. Make sure the content type has at least the following fields
    • Video (probably a file type) or take a look at Embedded Media FIeld
    • Image (Image type) if you're using 6 search for Image CCK - you may also want to look at ImageCache
  3. Create a view with the Slideshow style
  4. For the fields add the image and select the output as 'link this to its node'

Using CSS would be your best bet. Apply a unique class to the view under the 'Basic settings' and then you can add the following to your CSS in your themes directory:

.unique-class-name {
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
}

All of those template files are just possible template files that could display the view. You need to place the CSS code in a CSS file (e.g., sites/all/themes/yourtheme/style.css). If you are not using a contributed or custom theme, you should create your own custom theme. However, if you don't even want to do that, you could technically include it in the view itself using either the header or footer in the 'Basic settings' and selecting 'Full HTML' input format and pasting in the following:

I found the style.css. Where do I place the code on the sheet.

It is still not working. Do I have to add any setting to the image on the node?

Perhaps try adding a 'width' property to the code:

<style type="text/css">
.unique-class-name {
    width: 450px; /* Change to your desired width */
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
}
</style>

If this doesn't do it, then I probably won't be of much help without viewing the actual website.
