Greetings,

I'm a new user without a coding background.

I've enabled and played around with the events module but want it to be simplified. Specifically, I just want a chronological listing of events with a start date and time, a single sentence description, and a link to a page with all the event details.

I'd also like the events box to show a list of events with a date - not a countdown (i.e, 32 days, etc.).

I have searched the forums and found ways to disable multiple event views through commenting out sections of the module code.

Questions:

1.) Is there a module / plug-in that has simpler viewing options?

2.) How do I change the way the block lists the events?

1) You could use CCK + Date Field + views for displaying

I used the views module and got closer to I want. I still can't delete the 'calendar' link that shows up, though.
