I have an old OsCommerce shop that I enjoyed working on, but have a new project and am looking at that includes a CMS/blog and a shopping cart. I'm leaning towards ZenCart because I'm pretty sure that it can suit my needs as a shopping cart. But I'm not certain that it can offer the look & feel that I'd like to accomplish especially since there are so many free templates for Drupal that I can use as a base for my site's design.

I came across http://groovetickets.com and like how they use blog postings to expound upon their featured/highlighted products - in their case, tickets to a concert. The content on the actual product description page is completely different. And they don't feature every concert on the front page. I like that and am wondering if one of the Drupal e-commerce modules can pull that off. Alternatively, I'm wondering if I should attempt to integrate Drupal and ZenCart.

Otherwise, my shopping cart requirements are pretty straight forward:
* configurable shipping methods including will-call
* the ability to add custom options like color of tshirt or seating preference
* affiliate tracking
* WYSIWYG product description editor
* integration with PayPal as well as other payment modules/APIs

Any ideas?

investigate the scripts that are built on top of drupal like ubercart.module or ecommerce.module before making your decision.

Well, yes, making something like the site you mention is easier in Drupal than any given cart product, as Drupal is a CMS system, not just a ecommerce solution.

Übercart gives you a garden variety webshop fairly easily, while E-Commerce requires more setup, but gives you more flexibility.
