I am enouraging folks to submit a patch for diff module to moved into core. We need to move the cck specific stuff into somewhere, and I suggest that is this project. This code lets field modules customize how they show differences, and visually distinguish those differences from the body as a whole.

The code we need to move is at http://cvs.drupal.org/viewvc.py/drupal/contributions/modules/diff/cck.in....

1. Would the CCK maintainers accept patches that bring in these functions?
2. Is anyone out there available to make a patch which moves the functions to their respective modules?
