I've been playing with Form API to try to build something similar to this booking form http://www.halfordsautocentres.com/Basket/?fasttrack=false is form API the best option for creating this type of form? Anyone got any examples of doing something similar?

Did you solve your problem? I am trying to add user input forms to a Book and am surprised this is not a common requirement.

Sort of, I did end up using Form API to build my form. I'm still not sure that it's be best or easiest way of doing what I was after but it did the job. You can view the form at http://www.magnetautos.co.uk/magnet/form
