I've not researched the security issues with either system. It's possible that making a comparison is difficult to make but I'm interested in hearing any opinions or knowledge on the topic. I feel like I've heard before that Drupal had better security but I don't understand the basis for that. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

define what better means in the above question. What variables are being measured?
Not sure
Here's another way to word the question--not that it clears things up. I've heard people say Drupal is better with security. What might they mean by that? What are the variables they might be measuring? Because I have no idea.

I measure by transparency. if you want a measurement by # of issues within a period of time then you may want to review the security bulletins of each project. I'd venture that both have some sort of coding as to security impact of any one finding.
Fair assessment
I'll take that into account in this research. Thanks.

This question is actually better served in the 'general discussion' forum. Please edit the opening post and move it. Thanks.
