New Block Bar module

From the Project desctiption.

The Block Bar module is a block module that acts as a container for other Drupal blocks. The module builds an Outlook style collapsible menu bar from the child blocks with each child block representing one panel within the bar. Multiple BlockBars can be created. Each BlockBar can be set with "sticky panels" which will remember the panel's open/close state between page refreshes. Also, an option can be set that will only allow one panel to be open at a time for a given bar.

Why developed it?
I have been using Drupal since May 2005 and noticed that there is a short supply of themes available for users. Also, since this time there are very few new themes introduced. It takes quite a bit of time to develop a single new theme, therefore I can understand why. For these reasons, I decided to write a program in Microsoft Excel that generates both the PHPtemplate and Xtemplate Themes based on user design inputs.

userplane drupal plugin

hi everyone....

Userplane just came out with a drupal plugin. I am personally excited about using it one day when my site is complete. They had some kind words to say about drupal as well. check it out:

Userplane Announces Drupal Plugin and New Feature for Webchat

Userplane recently expanded the market reach of its free Instant Webchat application through the release of plug-in modules for community software platforms. With plug-ins already available for Simple Machines, vBulletin, Mambo and PHP-Nuke, Userplane is excited to announce the addition of the new Drupal plug-in.

This exciting new release will allow Drupal developers and administrators to quickly and easily add Userplane instant messaging and chat to their sites. Drupal has a rapidly growing developer community that is continuously improving the platform’s usability and functionality. It is fast becoming one of the best and most popular open-source solutions for user-contributed, content-based communities.

The Userplane plug-in installation includes pre-written code modules, available for free download to allow quick and easy installation. Since these site software systems have existing admin panels, site administrators can control all Userplane application features and functionality with ease within one location.By opening up its API to these platforms, Userplane embraces the open source community making Webchat and Webmessenger simple add-ons for any website.

Ip locator module upgrade

I added flags capability (you must use your own flags, the flags directory location is configurable) and I changed the ipl_country function to be useful without the ip_locator block enabled.

Drupal article in Swedish computer magazine

The November issue of the Swedish computer magazine "Datormagazin" has a 5 page article on Drupal, entitled: "CMS in all its beauty" (Swedish: "CMS i all sin skönhet"). The translated introduction reads: "To edit a website can be super-tedious work, but also absolutely wonderful. Much depends on what tools one has available. With Drupal, which is a Content Management System, it all gets much simpler."
