I am searching for a drupal expert to mentor me in the wonderful world of Drupal.
More precisely, I would like someone that has extensive knowledge of Ubercart and Marketplace module.
This is a project a could simply hire out, but this is something I want to LEARN to do.
I would like to be mentored in building my own marketplace site from beginning to end.
I come from a Wordpress background, with a design degree, and have a working knowledge of PHP.

Required Skills
Experience with site construction and administration using Drupal.
Understanding of major Drupal architectural concepts including content types, nodes, views, menus, taxonomy and other CMS features.
Fluency in basic HTML and some knowledge of CSS.
Familiarity with social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) and basics of social marketing (embedding, Like buttons, etc.)
Desired Skills
Expert-level CSS skills and seamless translation of designer-provided creative into standards-compliant code.
I'm looking for a module that will turn a text field that is used to collect say a city name through a text field when a node is created into a drop down list when that field is exposed in views.
Also I need the module to only list each entry once. So say I have a field called (city name) and there are 20 nodes with the city name Vancouver I only need to show this once in the drop down.
I was going to use the Auto-complete Widget module but after testing seems it doesn't work with Contextual filters and I think a drop down would be better for people with JS turned off.
THE GOAL: To get the "Download archive of images" working with a node view. THE PROBLEM: I have created a node-type that allows the uploading of Tif files via the filefield. Next I created a Node View with the Style "Bulk Operations" and the Download Archive of images checked off. The reason I chose a Node View is because it allows me to sort by date. This view works great except that when you click the download button it says it has been processed but nothing actually downloads.
The only way I can get it working is by using a File View, which has a very limited number of filters.
So... I'd like to accomplish one of two options: A. Allow the "Download archive of image" to work in a Node View. or.... B. Allow the date filter to work in a File View
Gameboyz (www.game-boyz.com) is a Drupal site that needs redesigning in both the front and back end. Currently it’s being used as a beta site for a content personalization engine called Youneeq. www.youneeq.ca
Youneeq is a start-up and registered company in Canada. Youneeq is a start-up and as such our funds are limited. That being said we’re getting lots of interest from VC’s and potential strategic partners. We are making great progress on the product and should have a full version ready in 6 months. Inn the meantime Gameboyz is in desperate need of a redesign immediately.
I’ve personally started gameboyz in 95 (www.dagameboyz.com) and we have excellent relationships with publishers and developers. Currently a volunteer site, Gameboyz doesn’t generate much in revenues because of its current condition. Gameboyz is involved in an extremely entertaining and fun industry. With lots of product, show invites, shwag and parties to attend. It’s really quite a blast and fun industry to be involved in. Game publishers are cash rich and spend a lot on sales and marketing.
We would like to exchange equity (shares) in Youneeq for a site redesign of www.game-boyz.com.
