We have a popular site that is flat file HTML (.NET mixed in) driven. We want to convert everything to Drupal / HTML. Current site is a table based layout and bloated.
I am a pretty good programmer and HTML coder but Drupal is a lot the get the head wrapped around on a first project. Instead of fumbling through the process, I would rather just hire someone to help with the conversion process. I want to make sure we get things setup so that we can grow and not have to revisit the whole setup in a year.
We have stock market based website. We are looking forward to adding sophisticated stock portfolio module to website. Stock portfolio can be extension of stock module and can use stockapi module of drupal. Some of the most desired capabilities that we are looking forward to are:
1) User can have more than one portfolio.
2) Portfolios can be made public and private. Public will visible to all user including anonymous users.
3) Stocks could be bought and sold. Both transactions should be editable. User should be able to short sell the stocks.
We have a Drupal 5.x site with a somewhat active community. The forums used to be hosted on phpBB, but was migrated to Drupal a few months back with the intent of customizing and further developing the site. Unfortunately our in-house software developer left before any work was done, and we're pretty much left with a site that uses the default theme and forum setup. The core of the site is the forums, and many users are unhappy with the Drupal implementation. We'd like to export the forum data so we can re-convert back to a 'traditional' forum system. Optimally, I'd like:
I would like the ability for anonymous comments to show unverified unless the user clicks a link that was generated automatically and sent to the email used for the comment? I would also like the ability to set the comments as unpublished until the user clicks the auto generated link.
Possible expansion would include that a password was also sent with the verify comment so they had a account.
