when a page doesn't differ between (certain) authenticated users and anonymous users return cache (public? pages).
provide possibility to let stand links to pages the current user doesn't have access to (improve possibility to match pages for anounymous and pages for authenticated users; see previous remark).
moderation-links (e.g. edit, delete, etc) could be added by ajax/javascript or only shown in a special moderation environment (e.g. URLs like {base}/moderate/{url}. this could alse be done by an contrib module (but only when remark 1 is implemented).

I'm looking at Hostmysite VPS solution with cPanel, Virtuozzo with 1GB RAM @ $100/month.
There will be small volumes of video and audio, but not much. Mostly text driven.
Any help is greatly appreciated with this vague question.
