I know people ask how to differentiate between stable contributed modules and more risky contribute modules. On this forum I'll try to compile a list of contributed modules used by big Drupal projects, who presumably were very careful to pick very stable modules.

I have followed the installation handbook. Uploaded the files, created and populated the database, set permissions. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the settings.php file. These are the two settings they mention in the hand book:
Is there a module in Drupal that would require my visitors to register and supply required information (name, email address, phone number, question on if they would like to be contacted in the future, etc.) before being allowed to download whitepapers and other documents that my company authors?
Reading through the forums here and changelog, its appartant that V-4.7 has many architechtural advantages over previous versions, so I have installed it.
1- Problem: It appears that V-4.7 is not backwards compatible for some modules and themes. Is there a compatibility list available.? I am still in planning stages of importing a 1000 + page website, but need some guidance as to which resources are available for 4.7.
