I am trying to implement an table-free theme based on the Pushbutton theme using Skidoo's Ruthsarian Layouts (http://webhost.bridgew.edu/etribou/layouts/skidoo/). It works fine in Firefox and Opera, and validates as true XHTML 1.0 Transitional. But in Internet Explorer 6 there are bugs: You can't highlight (and copy) text, some borders and images disappears.
We are going to use drupal for a multi-user free access blog.
we have to create config files for each blog and wanted to know
a. what are the config files
b. what variables can be tampered with and what should not or have to remain fixed
this is to create a simple blog creationg script to be executed from shell when a new request for blog arrives, keeping some of the configuratoin fixed (like the layout of the admin page or something).
http://www.varnelis.net, one of four sites that I'm maintaining, is now running on drupal 4.7b3. Thanks to everyone who has helped along the way.
I'm using a custom phptemplate theme for a semi-liquid layout. I didn't want my columns resizing like mad since there were images in them, so the whole thing floats around in a container. 800 x 600 isn't going to work, but the critical material is legible in 1024x768. The flickr block on the left is my own work, and you can find the code for it in another post on these forums.
I did test drupal 4.7 beta3 by creating several nodes in Chinese (encoding: UTF-8) and the display is not correct @@; does anyone know how to solve it ?
Currently running the beta to contribute and find bugs and as many issues as I can. However I wasn't sure as the the support for xtemplate anymore. Has it been taken out of core? I loaded up a previous template, but doesn't seem to be recognized. BTW, I'm loving the 4.7 it really is a nice release. Good work guys.
