Validation Error for Commenting

I did an upgrade originally from CVS (1-25-06) to this new Beta 4 (yeah I know there were few, if any changes in a day), and after that, I couldn't even leave any comments. On attempts, I just kept getting the "Validation Error..." box. I figured "Hmm, okay, maybe something went wrong in the upgrade" and then performed the following steps:

- backup of database
- drop all tables from database
- remove all files from web server
- upload all files for new Beta 4 to web server
- run the new SQL create from Beta 4 to create a new clean database install

Attempt #3: registering users without e-mail confirmation in Drupal 4.7, how?

Please, help me with my little problem?
I use /node/14009 in 4.6, but i can't use that in 4.7...

Primary links and taxonomy

Hi,

1. How do I create the primary links based on the taxonomy? So 5 categories = 5 primary links [I don't expect more than 5 or 6 categories].

2. How do the vocabulary for the category becomes the secondary links [maybe 6 or 8 per category]?

Thanks

install problems with event: how to debug

Hi,

I'm very very new to drupal, but I guess I might become a fan. Keep up the good work. I've installed some modules to try them out and that all went rather smoothly, but I don't seem to manage to install the event module.

After installing, I can enable the module, but I only get a blank page if I try to access its settings. I've just read a bit about how modules work, but I don't know if (or how) it is possible to debug when something does not work.

Any help and tips are appreciated.
Thank you,
duvelman

Drupal 4.7.0 beta 4 available

Just in time for DrupalCon 2006, Vancouver, the Drupal development team is pleased to announce the fourth beta release of Drupal 4.7.0! It is available for immediate download at http://drupal.org/files/projects/drupal-4.7.0-beta4.tar.gz. This beta release is hopefully the final beta release for Drupal 4.7.0 and marks a significant improvement in the Drupal 4.7.0 codebase. Since beta 3, over 120 bugs have been fixed, bringing the total to nearly 300 bugs fixed since the first beta release. All of these changes are detailed in the changelog. However, there are still more bugs to be found, reported and fixed before a release candidate can be made. The good news is that, with your help, we can release Drupal 4.7.0 RC1 much sooner!
