Q: List of new modules available ?

It appears new module versions for 4.7.x are released nearly every day.
It's really great that the Drupal developers community is so busy !
So - every second day I check the whole 4.7.x modules download page for new items.
I wish there was list of new released modules available.
Looked for it but could not find it.
Is it really not existing or am I too blind to see ??
Will somebody please show me the trick ?

css issue with firefox, safari, konquerer, and opera

First, I want to say because of my involvement with drupal, I have begun using firefox...and it rocks. I've even gotten the professors in my department to start using firefox...no easy task, mind you, when they are 50+ and have only used windows. Anyways, I'm a hero! Thanks Drupal community!

Check User's Login Against Allowed IPs

I'm looking for a way to check the user's IP against a set IP when they log in. I want to do this as an extra layer of security over their passwords alone. All the users that I want to set this security on have static IP addresses so managing the IPs is not an issue but a few of them will need to be able to login from multiple IPs on the same account.

Is there any way for me to do this in Drupal currently? If not, would it be difficult to implement?

Copying content to upgraded site

I have a live site running in 4.6. I am working on a revamped site in 4.7B4 using a copy of the database from the 4.6 site. When I have the 4.7 site ready, I want to merge them into a live 4.7 site.

I can't just copy over the entire database because there is structure as well as content stored in there. I just want to bring over the content from the live site.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks,

Michelle

Filtering content for anonymous users

Hi,
Background
I've just picked up Drupal to investigate whether or not it has the capability I am looking for. I've spent a good week now going through the handbook, installing (and re-installing) modules and themes to become familar with Drupal. I also bought the book "Building Online Communities with Drupal, phphBB and WordPress" (2006, Robert T. Douglas, Mike Little, and Jared W Smith).

Unfortunately I still haven't found a solution to my issue.

But before I submit my issue, I would like to clarify my position. I am a business analyst/project manager by trade and have not written any code for some 20 years. My guys who work with me tell me to stay away from their code...lol.

Solutions without using code
I believe that the architecture of Drupal is superior to other CMS because you do not need to be a developer to get a fairly complex community site. This gives web sites using Drupal a huge advantage.

I know my issue can be resolved by written PHP code but I want to try and avoid this as I want to recommend Drupal to other small businesses who know nothing about coding.

So what is the web site meant to do?
My web site is a 'community of communities' where you are not required to register or log in (anonymous users). The very basic concept is that the user selects a community from the homepage which then links through to the homepage of that community. Every community has the same menu structure on the left hand side (LHN).
