Getting an array of nodes

I have a CCK node type called "quotes." Basically, I want to be able to display a random quote within a block.

What is the best way to get this done?

Private posts in organic groups accessible from Recent Blog Posts block

I have organic groups configured so that some posts are private and can't been seen by someone who is not a group member. However, if I have the Recent Blog Posts block turned on, these private posts are listed, and anybody can access them on the group page. Is there way to set this so that private posts are not listed in the Recent Blog Posts block?

Thanks.

How to stop anonymous comment spam without putting comments in Approval list

I have enabled Anonymous comments with captcha but just noticed that people(may be bots as well) can still spam my site. How can I stop this ? I tried akismet but it brings the links to again, Moderation queue which I don't want.

I just want either the user(in this case anonymous) can not put live links or has a limit of posting 5 comments in an hour or something like this. Any suggestions ?

Users, subusers, and user relationships -- how?

Hey, folks -- I'm in the planning stages for a new Drupal site, and I'm looking for feedback on how best to implement user relationships.

Converting from Public to Private files

Im sure this is a frequently asked question, but I cant seem to find anything. I have a site with over 1600 public files that SHOULD be perfect. Some of them are uploaded with upload.module and some are uploaded via imce. Im wondering if anyone has aproached this in the past, and what you did. I *could* attempt this manually in the files and file_revisions tables, but before I go hacking away, I'd like to hear from the audience.

Thanks
