How do I print the content without the title, and submission info.

Hey there,

I'm testing the 4.7-beta release, and I'm developing a template using the PHPTemplate engine. I created a simple story, and published it to the front page. When I use a print($content) statement in page.tpl.php, it will print the following information:

Submitted by on .

How do I get it to print the section alone? I'm perusing the rest of the topics in this forum (and still have a lot more to view), but in the mean time, if anyone can answer this question for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Next forum topic, Previous forum topic

I've searched the site, but can't really find a post that answers the question of how do I change the paging links at the bottom of forum posts in 4.7 beta4.

Currently the previous and next links display the topic subject, but I would prefer a more generic 'next forum topic' 'previous forum topic', exactly like it is on this forum.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks.

Getting started - defining page content

I'm just getting going with Drupal, and slowly working through this forum and the wealth of documentation, tips, snippets here on drupal.org and around.
But I guess I'm still working on grokking some basic concepts: what is the relationship between content "nodes" and "pages"?
Example: I have an idea of what I want my Home page to do - It should have a teaser for a lead story, and 2 other stories. In the sidebars - navigation. My "leaf" type pages should just feature the story itself, perhaps related links. Standard fare.

Drupal as my CMS? News Subscripton Services??

Got a couple of questions to the community as a whole, and then some specific to Drupal.

Background - I've been hosting on a VPS for quite some time now. I have CMS, Blog, BB, etc., experience on many systems, but not Drupal. Currently running sites on the following: Xoops, phpBB, SMF, phpNuke, Geeklog, Mambo, Joomla (going away), PostNuke, InvisionBB, and PHPWiki, plus some "hand made" systems. The sub/customer's requirements have led to these various systems being ran. I'm quite familiar with HTML, XHTML, PHP, ASP, and MySql - verbage, content, handling, managing and manipulating at a "can do a lot with all, but not an expert in any" level. I am hosting three internet gaming communities, and several businessess (a Coffee Shop, a Dentist's Practice, a Pizza Parlour). I have some commercial experience but most of my development time is spent playing with new systems - the outcome of this playing leads me to pushing my subscribers to adopt those systems. Sad thing is I spend so much time doing this that I never have time to develop my own personal systems.

Intent - I am searching for an answer. Meaning that from what I've said above, I've spent thousands of man-hours developing stuff that has a very limited shelf life, as I jump at the next best thing that comes along, trying to stay up with what's new and cool on the www. I am tired of hopping from system to system, trying to find the best of the best to offer to my subscribers.

how do i? - Remove 10,000 spam comments

This morning i found a spam comment on every single node on my site - the spam module didn't detect these as spam - now, how do i delete all these comments?? (other than following the delete link 10,000 times?)

There doesn't seem to be a mass comment deleter.
(or i'm lost)

Flexinode Teaser Problem

I've just installed Flexinode for 4.7. I created a new content type with no additional fields. I try to create a node with this new content type. I enter some teaser text. When the node previews, there is no teaser text. When I return to editing the node, the teaser text box contains: <div class="flexinode-body flexinode-1"></div>.

Is this a known issue or have I done something wrong with Flexinode?
