How do I make the menu for SimpleNews settings invsibile to users?

Hi,

I have a little problem. I have setup my teaser to remove all html tags, but then when I write an article and click on "preview", this is this setting which is beeing used.

How can I test if I'm in preview mode? The $page variable has the same value between the teaser and the preview mode.

I am by no means a confident css hack, but I am patient and clever and can reverse engineer a css file like anyone else.

However, I cannot figure out why this looks good in one browser and terrible in another. I think I am bound to struggle with this quite a lot. I have a div area ending but bumping another field since the text overflows, if that makes sense.

I am trying to add a custom field to a page node. I know that it is possible to define custom nodes using flexinode, but I do not want to use this module. I only need one more field in the default node.

I think that I would create or extend de database in order to store this field, and I would need to extend the page module.

It is possible?

first, i dig drupal.
couple of drupal 4.6 installs w. video module worked well.
now... G5 w. Mac OSX 10.4.5 Apache 1.3 MySql 5.0.18 standard PHP 5.1.2

did it twice. phpMyAdmin drupal db creation, drupaldbuser privileges, sites/default/settings.php...
