Drupal 4.7.x

Not really a problem, more of a question...(just wasn't sure where to put this!)

Short and sweet:
We're running 4.7.6 currently. We were going to upgrade to 4.7.7, but now 4.7.8 has just been released. Is it recommended to go 4.7.7 first, then 4.7.8?

I moved a couple Drupal sites from an older server to a newer one and while the migrated sites appear functional there does appear to be an issue. Randomly inserted into the text (notably at the end/beginning of some words) is an accented 'a':

I am using the newest drupal 4.7 release and the newest secure pages module. My path to both the login page and user register page are using a secure server via private SSL. so the paths:

https://site.com/user/register
https://site.com/user/login

I'm using events and I want to be able to control what the calendar (not talking about the module) looks like (ie color and font size). I can't seem to make any of the changes through CSS. Is the style controls somewhere else? Is it in the date.inc file?

I have a standalone drupal localhost installation.
I'm seeing the errors below when I go to home http://localhost/drupal

can anyone see what the problem may be?

Till now was using adsense injector to show ads like this

Now instead of adsense, I want to use some other ad service so how can I add it so it will also just show like adsense, only on pages ?
