Drupal 4.7.x

I understand this is the module for 4.7: http://drupal.org/project/advpoll

and I understand there isn't another opption(?).

However it recommends going to 5.2 because 4.7 is not supported.

what exactly does this imply?

I would still like to install it.

is it still possible on 4.7?

After configuring apache and mysql , I tried to invoke drupal by tying http://localhost/drupal in the internet explorer.

I have a website that was hosted on an old server (now offline) and need someone to help me transfer it to a different hosting company.

basically:
- tell me how I can backup the DB
- which files he needs to restore the site
- take the files and host them on a server of his/her choice (preferably godaddy if possible)

This has been a problem on my website for a very, very long time. Whenever a notification email is sent out, it reports the address of the server in the hyperlinks as "localhost". Thankfully I don't have many users, so it's only a minor annoyance.

How can I fix this on Drupal 4.7?

I want a simple functionality: to create topics in a forum for a group, which can ony be read by its members.
When I create a topic i select in the audience checkbock only the group, but anyone can read the topic, even not members users. I've tried OG Forum, but the problem remains. In my opinion options settings for forums and groups are properly established.

When a user select the Forums links, all the forums and topics are reachable to him, even though the topics have been created for a specific group only.

Have anyone achive succesfully the funcionality i want?
