Drupal license and CreativeCommons

i know drupal has a policy of keeping everything under GPL ( http://drupal.org/node/66113 )
sounds wise and keeps things tidy

however there are several OSWD based themes in drupal cvs. some are creative commons.. others are vanilla "open source" with no mention of which license.

So, some direction please? Should i be importing more of these non-GPL-ed OSWD themes into CVS?

how do i upload everything???

hi! i like using drupal CMS. unfortunately, i have no idea how i'll upload
it. we're using a webhosting service which uses cPanel thingie. it has
mySQL feature though.

I have exported the .mysql file of the website i have created, backed-up a
copy of the whole drupal folder. so how do i begin putting 3 months of work
on drupal on the web? I'd greatly appreciate any help.... Thanks so much!

Useful resource for Drupallers building websites for mobile and wireless access

hi guys,

Tried posting this on the groups.drupal.org site..but, wasn't able to...it's just a useful reference for those building wireless accessible Drupal sites. I don't use the full toolkit, but I found the references very useful to build a drupal theme that is viewable on PDA & MOBILE phones.

I'll be making that hybrid "anybrowser" theme available soon on drupal.org..but, I thought I would mention the following as a point of reference for anyone Drupalling moble/pda/wireless sites.

transfer content only from drupal 4.5 to 4.7

I have decided not to try and upgrade a very gnarly civicspace (drupal 4.5) installation, but rather try to just transfer some of the content from my old installation into a fresh new 4.7 install.

I can export tables using phpMyAdmin, and have tried a few experiments with transferring nodes, comments etc. All failing with a error something to the effect that column count does not match table.

Is there an easy way to export content from 4.5 and import into 4.7 using MySQL dumps? Or is some kind of conversion process neccessary?
