Drupal 4.5.x or older

I would like to know if there is a module that can read from a database a reference address along with one or more desired addresses, and determine if those addresses are within a specified radius (KM/Miles) of each other; in addition, can this module provide driving directions and the distance from the reference address to the found desired addressess?

I wanted to propose an idea.

This idea originated from a major need. Even though we have such a great CMS..the benefits are not visible becoz most people host the sites with various hosts...who ill fit the need.
Hence Drupal seems to lack on performance and other factors.

Why not have a special hosting free for all Drupal sites. This has certain benefits.

how to edit a given document thru C#. Currently i have a word document with specific fields like Location,Name etc. These fileds i can access from C# and can write to it using StreamWriter.But the current issue im facing is regarding index.It needs some funny index to point to the given text.Im not using any VSOT or any other office tools just plain stream reader and writer. Please help.

I am trying to build a art web community where users can submit there works and have others comment on them as well as have there own galleries e.t.c a good example of a similar site is deviantart.com but mine would be much more scaled down. Is drupal the right software for me and if so can someone suggest what addons i might need. I am sorry for sounding dumb this project was goint to originally be done by 4 people but they all bailed on me and i refuse to give up.
