Module development and code questions

I was working on developing a cck node. Did an update at the next browser refresh the site failed to come up. I am sure I have a more general problem (not related to cck). Are there any logs available or need to be switched on to enable some debugging ?

I would like to create multi language store. Because I need product grouped by categories I decided to use CCK module to solve this problem.
But when I create a new content, and add that in the store, it misses weight field. It has price, quantity, SKU and so but there isn't weight field.
Is there a way to solve this?

I would really like to have full integration of mediaWiki on my drupal site. Basically, I would like shared user tables, or at least synced user tables, so that when a user on my site logs into drupal, then clicks on the wiki link, he will automatically be logged into the wiki. There is a very old post from January of 2006 for this with drupal 4.7, but I'm using 5.x. Any help/advice on this?

sIFR module has been enhanced to a plugin system. While the old module was limited to configure properties of sIFR rules to render text with beautiful Flash-based fonts, the goal of the new module is to provide an administrative interface to setup layout resp. rendering rules for various technologies that depend on CSS and/or JS.

The majority of these technologies work by customizing and implementing one or more stylesheet templates and optionally one or more javascript templates into a theme. All of these files are loaded on all pages. The module provides no more than an administrative user interface to create rules and enter all values that may be customized for a particular plugin. The module currently assumes, that all of these technologies share the same requirement: They depend on a CSS selector.

The least common denominator seems to be rendering / applying styles.

The plugin system allows to easily add new plugins to the module, intermediate Drupal development skills presumed. For example, adding basic support to render a menu tree using Suckerfish dropdowns took me less than one hour. Of course, that is only rudimentary support and could be extended with tons of values to fully customize the dropdown menu design.

I'm currently migrating an existing Website to Drupal. Every article node should have an optional block on the right sidebar for displaying context related nodes such as internal/external links, downloads and videos. The editor should be able to select the related nodes and to set the label for the displayed link.

My problem is I can't find appropriate modules to implement this.
Does anybody has an idea how to solve this?
