Deprecated - Media and document management

I want to put RSS News Feeds directly into the MySQL database, any ideas ?

Basically, I want to comment on each story BEFORE it goes onto my website, so I was hoping that I could get the one line news stories put into a table, so that I can post a comment on each one.

(I can write the next portion which queries the database but I just don't know how to populate the database in the first place)

Drupal come bundled with a lot of different way to write an article. At least four:

• blog
• book
• page
• story

My question is: why so much of them? Dries proposes to abandon book (I agree: book is just a bundle of article and hierarchisation, and the outline module already allows hierarchisation for the rest. Redundancy → deletion), but we still have blog, page and story.

Now, if you have to convince someone that the three of them are indispensable, what would you tell her?

Hello everyone. I would like to know if there is a way to pull my content online to word or any other office program. I want it to be in such a way that it will pull over like a list so maybe I can print it out to give to others who cannot access the web. For example - If I had 100 CD listings online I would like to be able to pull this info and have a copy of the content in word as a listing. That way I can print it out and give to others that cannot axxess the web. I very much would appreciate it for any suggestions. JayDigga

I'm about building up a site for pianists and similar musicians. :)
And a guy in my team had the idea to create a database where the users can upload their compositions and transcriptions. I think it's a great idea. But i don't know how exactly to realize it. :/

I think that the database maybe could have different menus. Like: composer, style, year, opus, ... whatever

Any ideas?

Help , I can't see the toolbar that should normally appear on my movies ????
I imported them using TinyIMCE, it's streaming so the original FLV is on another server but . When i look at the moviefile without using my drupal site i can see the toolbar .

Is there a flash specialist that can help me , i'm a beginner !
