help needed for site migration without any design comprimise!

we have a static Website powered using PHP
It has got 3 diff styles (CSS files) - default, index (for index pages), internal (for internal pages)
now i need to move this static website onto drupal but without any design mismatch.

friends can you suggest a best way to do this?
i mean, do i need to develop the theme for drupal rt from core with the prev design considerations or is it better to customise some default themes ?

do help me out as to where & how to start this?

City template

I have created a custom page layout for a bunch of products: "page-node-5.tpl.php". I want to provide content managers the ability to manage the content on these pages.

Two questions:
1) I want to include a graphic on the product page. How to add the image upload field to the product "content type"?
2) Would content managers need to use various content blocks for each product to build the single product page?

Thanks

Nasty IE6 mystery

Hi All,

Theme field_link of story page

Hello I am new to Drupal and am currently running a site and I'd like to adjust a few things in my layout. Specifically I added a CCK Link field to the story content type. I have disabled the Link Title as I only want to input the link. However on the display pages I would like to have the same link name use all the time. For example right now I have the following displaying

Node Title
Taxonomy terms
http://www.something.com

What I would like to do is:

The Profile User List

In my profiles, I've created various fields that can be clicked on so that it will display all users that match that field. My problem is that Users can have up to 4 of the same kind of type in 4 different fields. So that if the same tool is listed in the 1st group and 2nd group and a user clicks on the link to show tools from the 1st group, the 2nd group won't be matched.

Example:

Tools Section

Tool 1 (dropdown)
- Hammer
- Screwdriver
- Saw

Color 1 (dropdown)
- Blue
- Black
- Red

Design Still in the Core

I love the new software. The admin usability has increased tremendously ... but, I have the same complaint I've had since I started using Drupal 2 years ago: there are still style and design decisions being made in the core. It never seems to go away. I can strip out every item of css and install a blank theme and I still find rows and rows of nested ul's and li's with id's and classes in my themes. I know these can be overwritten using a custom template.php, but why? It should be the responsibility of each theme to define how to handle these items.
