I 've made a custom node type which I only want to show in the right-sidebar.
For that reason I created a view which generates a block.
How check in which in the node.tpl.php whether the region is "right-sidebar".
If I don't check it the node type is also shown in the main content area.
Excuse me if this is a copy of another forum topic.

Hi, I found this free template that i want to use with drupal. I just don't know how to do it or what to edit but the template is really simple, can somebody edit one of the themes for me so that it looks like this template.
I would really like to add new region to the Garland Theme. I've tried the Zen Theme and it offer the block like those:
content-top
content-bottom
I know there are some documentation about doing this with the phptemplate engine, but the synthaxe doesn't seem to be the same. Does anyone did this in Garland?
I'm in a bit of a bind and experiencing MAJOR navigational problems. I have three different sections in my website and with three different navigational needs. Each section has its own set of unique links that are NOT attached to $secondary_links or $primary_links. This is my main problem:
1) I can't seem to style links that are not labeled as "$primary_links" or "$secondary_links."
I'm trying to edit the Chameleon theme so that I can move the log in box to another page (so it won't clutter the custom layout, and so only the admin even knows how to log in - this site isn't based on users...the only reason it is using drupal is for easy content updating). Unfortunately, I can't find any of the log in code - I only know that it is in the sidebar-left div and is variable $blocks ...but I cannot find any of that information in any of the includes, etc. Could somebody please explain to me how to create a separate login page?
