well, it took my friend and I less than three days to get this up and running. Drupal is an awesome system and we plan on utilizing it in the near future for other projects.
While surfing the web, I always find it encouraging to come across new Drupal sites. Today I found that the Shuttleworth Foundation (Ubuntu Linux) has chosed Drupal for their new "Freedom Toaster" project!

This site leans heavily on phptemplate, and a custom theme based initially on Blix. There are also 4 custom Drupal modules. I'm pretty happy with it :-)
As a test bed for development of the new aggregator2.module MobileBeat was set-up as a totally automated site. It's content is pulled in from bespoke RSS feeds i've written and keeps the website updated via cron and no intervention from myself.
The site is a gateway to the popular Jamster! mobile phone site, and works via affiliate links.

It started off as a HTML based site design from a media company. I then took the design and converted it in to a php template.
The front page 4 blocks are the latest sticky nodes promoted to front page. They appear thanks to a custom module i knocked up. The horizontal blocks are actually the sidebar-right in the block list of drupal.
We just created the first Playstation Fan site in Greece based on the marvelous Drupal :-)
Will start in full operation in September 1st, but i would like to have your comments about the theme.
