I just figured I'd post here that the new design of Temple University's Computer Science Dept's website is using drupal as a backend (I set it up and configured it). It's currently running at eagle.cis.temple.edu until we have everything stable enough to go for production. Let me know what you think, I'm open to any suggestions to make it better :)
Happy to anounce I have relased our site on Drupal 4.6. I was able to use this script [http://drupal.org/node/23306] to convert our user DB from phpbb to drupal and the build out the site. We are still experimenting and tweaking various modules but we have a much better site than before.
After testing a half-dozen content management systems, I finally settled on Drupal. Of all, it was the friendliest to adapt - both system management and theme creation - for my wireless news site, Wi-Fi Report.
Wi-Fi report uses a customized version of the box_cleanslate theme. I've dumped most of the menus and blocks, in favor of advertising support and an even more streamlined appearance. These forums were a great assistance, particularly since I'm neither a graphic designer nor programmer.
