we try to create a community around Salsa and Socials in Frankfurt, Germany. I used Typo3 before, but found Drupal to be so much better with regards to community building! The site is no online for a couple of days and we already have some users and articles on the site.
Check out the new version of the site I helped create. We built it with drupal 4.6. It's still in beta so there's still a lot of cleanup work left to do in terms of layout and code. Let me know what you think.
I posted a link to my site a while back, but I've just spent the last couple of weeks redesigning it and rebuilding it from the ground up. I was very lazy the first time i put it together and didn't bother to theme it properly, editting core instead. This time I've got my head around phptemplate and am rather happy with the results.
Its inspired by the existing K2 theme, but I only really looked at that for inspiration (and icons). I basically rewrote it for myself. It's been a learing experience, but definatly a worthwhile one.
I've been running a forum for our neighborhood for a few years. The neighborhood has long been a working-class white neighborhood that has recently seen an influx of gentrifying professionals and also of artists and hipsters - it gets lively sometimes!
I converted from PHPNuke to Drupal on April 1 and just finished an upgrade to 4.7
The upgrade was complicated by my webhost doing a not-so-elegant unannounced server change and turning my site backwards 40 hours in time. However, almost everything is up again.
What do you love over all else? What is its bitter rival? Who would win an an epic battle of witty words? You pick the battle. We decide the victor!
Site developed using Drupal 4.7 with the +/- voting. We need traffic and content. this could be a potentially fun and amusing site if the right people contribute. Please help spread the word!
