That Other Paper: Austin's Only Newspaper

Leveraging off the Drupal's taxonomies, views, and panels, we've built a next-generation platform for publishing Austin's newest alternative weekly.

http://thatotherpaper.com/

We extended Drupal with a custom theme (ThatOtherPaper), a custom advertising module (PressFlow Sellout), a custom navigation and suggestion module (PressFlow Focus), and a templating and linking module (PressFlow Templates) that implements much of the MediaWiki syntax as a a Drupal input filter.

alertuk.org - anti-euthanasia in the UK

Hi - after using Joomla for a couple of sites I decided to check out Drupal, and hence this is my first Drupal site. Take a look at www.alertuk.org.

It's not complete yet - we're still adding over 1000 items from the past few years, but the general structure and design is finalised. I haven't played much with the themes, but I do think the site is still looking reasonably good.

I'm impressed with the ease of use of Drupal - my daughters (11 and 13) are now able to add content to the site and keep it updated!

This is a repost of the one deleted by moderators. Give me your opinion

Hi,

I posted this before but because I had a problem with my internet connection I clicked on the submit button several times then I was surprized that it was posted 6 times. So, it seems that the moderators of drupal.org deleted my all 6 posts.

reggaeXplosion - news & reviews, straight from yard!

Greetings,

During the last year, I've tested and worked with Drupal in order to completely get the hang of it. And finally I felt confident enought to convert to Drupal. I tried other CMS but I found Drupal not to be the most userfriendly CMS around - but definately the best supported and the one with most modules suitable for a website for me.

There were some criteria, that had to be fullfilled:

One: it had to be 100% multilingual - as the website is both in Danish and in English.
Two: it had to be easy to update, and if possible be a WYSIWYG editor - so save time.
Three: it had to have a banner rotating system.

These three criteria were fullfilled to a certain extend. The banner rotating system never worked for me. I startet out in 4.5 and this one didsn't support the feature where you could place the blocks pretty much anywere. However I found out how to integrate the bannerroation system I used on the old page phpAdsNew so it worked.

With TinyMCE the WYSIWYG editor was easypeasy - but the i18n module caused some problems. However I solved this by using the old IP2C redirection program I had on the server - so this worked well also.

However, after 10 months or so - I finally launched the new website, which is a reggaeminded website focusing on news and reviews. Check it out here... www.reggaexplosion.dk
