HowU.info - Syndicated Questions and Answers

Drupal is unbeatable.

Thanks for all the code and community!

HowU.info is a new site that aggregates multiple question/answer sites on the web and allows for original submission as well. It uses Feedparser (simple and sweet) for aggregation and Mollio for theme. The site has taken the KISS route of simplicty over a feature packed site w/ ratings, profiles, points, pools, etc.

If you would, please comment on its usability and value. Thanks so much!

Additionaly, there are a couple of outstanding questions regarding further development:

Language Integration (Taxonomy? Localizer? ...?)
+ How can posted questions (page nodes on site and aggregated nodes w/ Feedparser) be auto-translated to other languages?
+ How can comments (answers) to questions be translated to the other languages

Comment Sharing
+ How can Drupal comments be 'shared'? Is it possible to let other sites copy Drupal comments to the same question and vice versa?

License of Original Submissions
+ Would it be useful to make the original questions posted to HowU.info be GNU FDL or Share-Alike licensed?

Extra
+ What other modules would you suggest to add value to the site.
+ Make it Hip? How does one prevent being a passing trend site?

LifeTwo, a Drupal site for the middle-aged (no, not the Middle Ages!)

We're pleased to announce the redesign of LifeTwo, a Drupal-powered site focusing on issues facing men and women at mid-life.

We've actually been up since July (2006). We've used lessons learned about our user's behavior to set up this new layout. We're using taxonomy much more heavily and trying to organize our content better, using a four-column layout to split content (left two columns) and ads and links (right two).

The homepage would not be possible without the Views module, which lets us create teaser lists using filters such as "show the 15 most recent nodes that are NOT featured stories" (where featured stories are set by a nodequeue queue).

Even more valuable was Views' ability to extract taxonomy arguments from URLs and use them to construct taxonomy-constrained lists on the fly. The Views blocks on our "section homepages" ("Midlife Crisis," "Brain Health," and others we group under our taxonomy term "Topic") show only the most recent, most read, etc content for that section. Views enables this to be virtually maintenance-free -- once a post is created and tagged, it appears where it should in its section. Sweet!

Would love to receive feedback on this website

Finally completed the new Innovate Logistics website and would love to hear from Drupallers with comments, good and bad. Also happy to answer any questions re:theming or the multi-page form.

The website address is: http://www.innovatelogistics.com.

My full portfolio of websites is here and again I would appreciate feedback, comments and constructive criticism.

Yes I know there is not much there yet but just wanted to give a little encouragement to anyone who is just thinking about using Drupal. First I want to say to everyone and anyone who has a hand in developing Drupal.....MMMMMMWWWWWWAAAAAHHHHHH yes thats right it's an old lady kiss. I have been afraid to try this but I read the directions and it only took me.......drum roll please.........1/2 hour and to be honest if I wasn't such a darn chicken it would of probably taken me about 10 minutes.
