We've been using Drupal for the corporate site for a little over a year now. Its extensibility and ease of use has provided us tremendous amounts of development power. We've implemented some custom code for the News architecture but overall it uses standard modules for taxonomy control and site features.
This is my first theme: it's a 3 column layout with a wide image banner and a "top-tabbed" primary-links system: the slogan is the blue-bar you see below the header.
I really appreciate any comment so that i can improve the final release
I would like to add this theme to the official repository but i don't know if it deserves this opportunity :)
After some time with a very squarish theme, I finally put some hours to make a clean-looking theme for my science journalism Drupal site. Last night I completed the job by upgrading it to version 5.3, so now it works better. Please check it out. Any feedback will be well received.
At the time of writing, this website has over 10,000+ viewers to the site since it was launched a few months ago. Still a very small site in comparison to the other Toronto 'activity' based websites, but a very good milestone at this point. Much of the content is provided by a very keen group of individuals who contribute on a regular basis.
I'm considering a change to make the website into a dating site so that people can then meet others with similar interests in and around Toronto. But that will come if there's a lot of interest in the first place.
