This is my first post. I am in charge of changing the website for the Universidad del Turismo, (University for Tourism, UTUR). Our organization has limited resources and staff to support a big website. However I saw the opportunity of using Drupal to let professors and students to share their thoughts and projects by using blogs and forums inside our site. We are currently looking forward to compete in the high level among universities in Costa Rica, in design and functionality in our site www.utur.ac.cr
The front page is using Drupal version 6.4
Among the modules set are:
-Rotor Banner
-front page settings
-FCKeditor
-FlashVideo Settings
-IMCE
-Image toolkit
-Imediasee Flash Video Streaming
-Mollom
-PicLens
-Printer-friendly pages
-Terms of Use
The site works also with the following scripts installed before Drupal
-Coppermine Photo Gallery
-b2evolution
-Joomla (not shown public)
-Mambo (not shown public)
-PHPlist
-Noahs Classifieds
-Moodle (not being used)
-Open-Realty (not shown to public)
Please let us know about new suggestions to improve our site, and to hire new outsourcing experts in Drupal to reach our goal of outstanding among other universities.
Dealpals is a community site for finding and sharing best deals, discount schemes, freebies etc. The users can post the know deals and discounts in their cities or on web.
Knowledge about prices is the only way to save on your shopping bills. The best way to get this knowledge is from others in your city or neighbourhood. Dealpals encourages the members to post more by offering an exciting points system and attractive gifts .
The site serves two main functions, 1)Users create a "list" which has all their records they want and/or have. 2) a database collecting pressing information about records. For those not familiar with the record collecting community having a "trade list" is a common thing for people to look through and see if they want to trade or buy some of your records. In addition to that keeping track of what pressing, what color and how many were made is "big thing".
Our team at fourthwall media have just finished the re-launch of CHARTattack.com, built entirely in Drupal 5x. This is a very high traffic/high profile web site.
Previous versions of the web site were built using only static content and the site contained over 10 years of content. Our team here at fourthwallmedia.com managed to parse all of those files using custom scripts and then import the created CSV files into Drupal via node import (what an amazing tool!).
The site is mainly a game review website, although it doesn't really have anything truely "unique" to offer members. I mean for it to be another voice to be heard when deciding on whether or not to buy a game or not.
The main elements of the site:
Drupal 6
CCK
Contemplates
Forum + Advanced Forums
These are the big elements of the site, everything else is just to add asthetic appeal (like lightbox2).
A friend and I decided to setup our own site about gaming. It still needs a lot of work but it is up and running right now.
It uses plenty of the common modules such as views, pathauto and CCK. There is also a good deal of custom code in there. Let me know what you think :).
