Given the state of the economy, people are more interested than ever in saving money. With that in mind, I am excited to announce the launch of Deal Linker (http://www.deallinker.com), a new bargain hunting search site that promises to make it easier than ever to find the best deals on everything from daily essentials such as groceries and personal care items to popular items such as video games, laptops and HDTVs.

There are a large number of bargain sites on the Internet today; and many of them publish essentially the same sales promotions and coupons.

Deal Linker is better. Let me explain why…

Throughout the day, the system collects deal and coupon data from over two dozen leading bargain hunting and retail sites including: Fat Wallet, Amazon.com, Slick Deals, Brad’s Deals, Walmart.com, and Coupons.com. The deals are categorized and analyzed; and the best ones receive high ratings, so they are shown closest to the top of the list.

At any time, Deal Linker offers access to thousands of up to date deals and coupons; all of which are conveniently categorized, so it’s easy to find the bargains that are of interest to you.

The site was built on Drupal 5.x, along with a number of modules and some fairly extensive backend custom coding. Some of the modules used include:

- Memcache
- DHTML menus

- CAPTCHA
