The Wingflap Development Network

Overview

The Wingflap Development Network (www.wingflap.net) is a portal about portals. It is a development community portal whose goal is to introduce Drupal to the users of the now-defunct Skyportal. Skyportal was an ASP portal that was an offshoot of MaxWebPortal (c.2000). Skyportal shutdown earlier this year and left a large community without a site, support, or new development.

As an admin and active participant of the site, I decided to create a place for these people to discuss their future plans for their portals. There's some discussion about Skyportal support issues. There's also discussion about why people chose their new platform (mostly Drupal).

But mostly, it's a site that's in construction looking for community feedback about functionality and technology to achieve that functionality as an effort to help converts transition to Drupal.

The Site

I've done a case study here of WikiJob and I'm trying to add pictures to the body but it seems to strip img tags. What do I need to do to get it to work?

Also, if anyone has any suggestions on how to improve it please let me know! :-)

TAP aims to provide tools to easily create and deliver mobile tour applications in a museum setting. Content creation is performed in the content management system, Drupal. TAP tours are exportable into an intermediate format, TourML, which can then be used as pluggable bundles for mobile applications.

TAP started as a solution for the Indianapolis Museum of Art. We are open sourcing the tools we have developed in hopes of collecting a rich set of free tools for all museums.

I just finished re-making my wife's webcomic website, which was some simple hand coded php from 5 years ago. Now the site is in drupal goodness.

Let me know what you think! I had to write several scripts to migrate the data from the old database and the comments/posts from phpbb into various node types and comments.
