Deprecated - Drupal core

I have this problem with the Calendar module: The time zone that is set by default doesn't match with the one if my site.
How to configure it correctly?

I'm curious why something like this is not integrated and maintained directly in Drupal as it's something I feel would be extremely beneficial
for anyone looking to operate a large site requiring adequate and powered moderators for the entire CMS system, not just a forum. And/or a subscription-based blog, etc...

I was reading about the need for tight code in sites that get losts of posts.

so i just wanted to define what code is.

For instance if i continually alter box, menu, or mission content/settings does that weaken the site in any way?

I'm looking for a way to control forum access...

I want 1 container to be accessable to all registered users whilst other containers to be accessible to higher level roles. is there an easy way to do this. I have done it using phbb in the past and am hoping it is possible with the core drupal forum... please point me in the right direction.

I've developed a little module (5.X version of drupal ONLY) to control and disrupt the login operation on certain situations, improving the site security with new options.
