Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Searching and Cron

Hey guys, I got drupal set up and running. From searching on this site I see that I have to run cron.php to update the search database. I tried typing http://www.freshfemi.net/drupal-4.4.0/cron.php into my browser and I get a blank page. I have no idea what to do now. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there any tutorial somewhere?

I've managed to install Drupal 4.4.0 in Debian sid, but whenever I try to setup a site I got pretty lost very quickly :) ; the documentation in drupal.org is inappropriate to learn the product; anybody knows if there is a tutorial that explains step by step how to setup a simple site?

Thank you,
Toshiro.

Displaying taxonomies

Hello,
I'm trying to create a taxonomy for file downloads that is like this :

Downloads
-- binary
-- source

There are some nodes in drupal that belong to "binary" and some to "source". I would like to display a page with all the nodes that are "Downloads". How do I do that? I try "taxonomy/view/or/5" (5 is the "Downloads" term id) but the nodes for "binary" and "source" don't show up... :(

use of module i18n 4.4.0

After the installation of two modules 4.4.0 (locale & i18n) on drupal 4.4.0, I got two flags (french & english), but the interface language is all the time english, I need samething else to have french user interface?

Suggestions For Using Images Within eCommerce Module

Hi All,

I am using Drupal 4.4.0 and eCommerce module. Any suggestions on how to effectively integrate images with the eCommerce module? Is it better (i.e. easier) to add images to the default eCommerce node using a theme, or to make an image node supported within eCommerce?

Thanks for any help, and while I am writing, thanks for Drupal!

Noob question-- can't log in

I set up drupal back in the fall for teachers to use for blogging. However, we had no takers and I went on to other projects. Now someone wants to use it, but drupal no longer takes their login. It says the user/login directory doesn't exist. I'm sure it's something obvious. Any suggestions?
