Whenever I open up my browser, I need to login to Drupal again. It's a bit annoying for me and the rest of the people who work on the website, not to mention frequent visitors. I was wondering if there was a solution to this? If somehow I could login once and it would remember me for every single time I went to the website. FYI I'm using Drupal 4.4.1.
Is there a way to repromote a node on the front page?
For example, I create an event, promote it to the front page. It moves its way down over time. 3 weeks later, the event is in 2 days time. I wan't to repromote it on the front page, so it is on top again.
I don't want to 'Static on front page'.
I am working on setting up a site which will feature a classified section utilizing the flexinode module.
It's working fine (no bugs or errors) BUT...
I would like to use a Hierachy like this:
For Sale
-- Cars
-- Electronics
---- Computers
---- TV/Video
-- Furniture
-- Services

WHowever all of my feeds say updated (never) nxt update (never) and when i try to click on the update feed button in administration mode, i get this
Failed to parse RSS feed 'SlashDot': 110 Connection timed out.
I am not using the navigation block and would like to recreate the menu entries that appear on it via the event module. The one I am interested in is the dynamic link that is for today's date (the calendar link). An example:
1. How do I install new add-on modules? I'm on windows at home, but using a shared linux server. I've seen instructions about using commands to install but don't have any access like this in my shared server that I can see. (cpanel useed for managing)
2. Is there an easy way to have frontpage content that isn't timestamped and listed by author. I'd like to have some static messages-welcome, mission of site etc. that don't show up as "by... posted..."
