Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Rename User Blog

Okay. I love Drupal. There, I said it!

A quick question. When someone registers with a specific username (ie Monkey) and he/she starts a blog, the blog will be referred to as "Monkey's blog". Is there any easy way to allow people to rename their blog?

Problem with Printer Friendly Pages/Book module

I've noticed that the book module already includes a printer friendly page link to its own type of printer formatting but if you have the printer friendly page module installed you get a second link to print from it. This is sure to confuse users and just looks wasteful. Is there anyway I can get rid of the printer friendly page module for just the book module? For example have the printer friendly page module used on all pages but book pages.

Thanks

Search: is live indexing too much to ask?

I understand I have to run the cron.php manually to index my site. How come Drupal can't index the content right after it has been created? I know little about these things, but that would be logical to me. Also, how can I set cron.php to run periodically?

warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent !!!!

Hello, I just did a fresh install of Drupal 4.5 and put in the collimator and automember modules. They both seem to work fine, but in the Automember module settings, when I try to click on the Update tab, i get the following error:

warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /homepages/41/d90069572/htdocs/_drupal/modules/automember.module on line 537.

Hiding "sub categories"

I am just wondering if it is possible , and how i would go about, hiding subcategories.I think they are called taxonomy terms? a little example:

I have 2 main categories:

-LINUX
--gnome
--Kde

WINDOWS
--XP
--me

If i post a story in all six categories, then all 6 categories are displayed on the homepage. Is it possible to only display the Main categories on the hompage, and once clicked, display the subcategories relative to its main category? (i.e only display Linux and windows the the homepage, and not its sub cats)

Possible to restrict access to file attachments (uploads) by category?

I've got content that I restrict access to via the taxonomy_access module. Only certain roles can view content in the private category I've created. However, if a node in this category has a file attachment, anybody who has permission to view attachments can download it.

Has this problem been solved by anyone? Is there a way to easily stop this from happening?
