Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Allowing users to post only in some areas

Hi there,

I did some categories and created 2 users.
How can I restrict these users to post content each on "his" category ?

Thank you in advance

4.6.3 to 4.6.4

Ok I intend to cautiously upgrade to drupal 4.6.4.....via a test site
I have an existing 4.6.3 site running live with fair traffic so I want no disruptions at all to that site.

Is it possible to install the 4.6.4 site then dump the data using MyPHPAdmin from a backup of the 4.6.3 site?

I have searched and can find nothing regarding this query.

Duplicate Content

In general, I'm really very happy with Drupal, but I've noticed that the set up seems to create duplicate content.
For example the index page is of course www.mysite.com/ but when I move onto the second page /node?from=8 and then back to the first it gives /node?from=0 which is the same page as the index.
Clean URLs are on, but is there a way to adapt the htaccess file for this ?

Event body...

I can't seem to locate where the "template" for an event's description is at.

The problem I'm running into is...

I've removed the time zone using the display: none code in the event.css

Now the body runs right under the start and end time.

Start: 01/07/2006 - 1:00am
End: 01/07/2006 - 12:59pm
Body:

text of the event here

I'd like to be able to move down the word "Body" so that it's a little further down. Also, it would be nice to change it so that it says "Event description" instead of "Body."

Created new user account. No e-mail has been sent. ???

I keep getting the message "Created new user account. No e-mail has been sent." when adding users in my new installation of Drupal (4.6.3) in a shared hosting environment using Fantastico.

Is there a mail server configuration I have to do somewhere in Drupal admin?

Multiple sites, shared nodes and users?

Is it possible to do the following with Drupal 4.6?

1. Have three separate sites, with separate domain names -- http://www.example1.com/, http://www.example2.com/, http://www.example3.com/
