Hi all. I could use a hand here, with a few specifics, and possibly some tips for 'the overall idea.'
Overall, what I'm trying to do:
Admins only manage the overall drupal site. Ok, no problems.
A project or group is created by an Admin, with an owner assigned to it. That owners workspace should list any projects/groups he owns or is a member of, and as owner he should be able to create additional 'standard content' that is available either publicly or to members of his group/project only. He should also be able to administer user priveleges for his group.
Additionally, one piece of desired content is the ability to create a per project/group image gallery which has the same permissions as the group, either public or group/project only.
The end result basically should allow a 'project manager' to manage his section of the site (projects), including the addition and removal of users access to his project, allow him to give some level of privs to those users, upload content via image, text/Story, Pages, and file uploads (sharable)...that's essentially it. Think along the lines of a Project owner at sourceforge as an extended example of functionality..
What I'm instead seeing is that:
- there is a difference between group and project which I'm unsure what it is,
- the owners workspace gives him no useful links
- image gallery seems to be global only, and even uploaded images to a Story show only as attachments, not exactly a suitable replacement....
