Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

How do I REMOVE the primary links from the footer?

I'm trying to figure out how to make the primary links section only show up in the header and not in the footer. I've been looking for some sort of default page that controls this without any luck.

Local installation on usb-stick

I am trying to get Drupal running on my usb-stick using Xampp lite (vers. 1.5.1). But when I try to set up Drupal (4.6.5), the first screen is completely missing all stylesheet information. All I see is a white page with text, and instead of the normal logo and theme there are these:

{head} {styles}
{_BLOCK_.header.logo} {_BLOCK_.header.site_name}
{secondary_links}
{primary_links}
{_BLOCK_.header.blocks}

I have been through the setup several times checking everything, and as far as I can tell I am not doing anything different than usual.

Need help with related links

Which module is best for creating related links between content? I've downloaded several and can't figure out how the work.

  • whatsrelated: um...what is this supposed to do?
  • contextlinks: how does this work?
  • relatedlinks: couldn't get this to work

Basically, I want to have a page/post, and on the bottom of the page "Related Links."

OR

A block with related links.

This is sort of a "see also" as in an index.

Can anyone point me to good documentation on how to do this?

TIA.

How do I get many users to post to the same blog?

I have a new (and really small) site using Drupal 4.6.3 and it is a collaboration between 3-4 people. I was wondering if instead of having one blog per person, if we could have say 2/3 blogs, to which all of us could add, as each blog is specialised around certain projects which will have their own progress.

If nothing works, I guess I could use Taxonomy to seperate posts and show them as different posts of the same stream, but I was wondering if multiple blogs is an option.

thanks!

How do I enable picture/avatar for user posts

I have enabled pictures and have uploaded the picture I want for my account, but my blog posts don't show my picture along with each post. When I go to "my account" my picture does show up. But I don't see it anywhere else. Also, I am currently using the "push button" theme. I've tried all the default themes, and none seem to work.

Is there a way to make it show my picture every time I post a story/"blog entry"? I want this feature so that I can allow other users to post on my blog and be able to easily distinguish between one user's post and anothers.

iCal support

Is there any drupal calendar component/module/whatever that supports iCal?

thanks.
