Post installation

I am running drupal 4.6.5, with Xampp, on debian 3.1 unstable. So, Apache II, PHP5.1. I am using the goofy theme, which has a lot of graphics.

Everything was working. I made some changes, nothing major. Now, on remote systems, I get no graphics, or colors, and many pages will not load.

On the local system, everything works just fine; in either firefox, or mozilla.

On remote systems, I have tried windows with firefox and msie; I have tried linux with firefox and opera.

I shutdown, and restarted apache and php, that didn't help.

I´m designing a site that has to display information for english users and spanish speaking users. We want to make things as transparent for each kind of user as possible. We are thinking on creating two generic users, one that is localized for "english" and the other for spanish. so here are my questions:

There is a requirement from my client that when the user writes an article he has to input his own teaser text to be shown in the front page, if that is not possible then at least we need to enter a tag indicating up to what part of the main text can be used as a teaser (ie: in wordpress i can place a tag and that indicates where the teaser will end.

Until now i have found how to change the teaser length globally but i really need to have better control when users write an article.

Hi all!

I'm wanting to do some custom coding on my site connected with a distance learning project. My question is, is there a simple way to create new user fields that do not show up in the profile information (account or personal sections). I can access their regular account information and the information in the supplemental fields I created, but I need something that stays more hidden, to keep track of grades, note completed assignments so I can unlock a next section, track participation stuff, etc.

After 5 or 6PM in the afternoon, my calendar shows the current date as being tomorrow.

For example, right now at 630PM, it shows the current date a 1/25.

What can I do to fix that?
