Overriding Profiles - Adding 3rd Party Module Information?

I've read everything that has to do with overring profiles. It's great stuff. My problem is I'm trying to pull out some info from specific modules, such as the referral module and userpoints module and I'm not having any luck.

Is there any way to just modify how the current profiles look?

gsitemap.module question

I just enabled the gsitemap.module. I'm confused as to what I need to name the file where it ask for a verification link. If it can be anything, does it need to have the extension .xml (ie gsitemap.xml)?

Do I need to create the file and if so where within the Drupal installation or will this file automatically be created by the module on a cron run?

Thanks

Primary and Secondary Menu

About three or four days ago I found the item in the menu of my Drupal 4.7b4 installation to define which menus would be my primary and secondary menus. You know, the menus at the top of the screen. At the time I disabled them thinking I didn't want a menu at the top. Well, I want to put that menu back up again; BUT I CAN'T FIND THE MENU ITEM. God, I feel dumb.

It isn't in the Themes area, where I would have expected to find it (and where the handbook indicates it should be). I don't know what happened to the beast.

Any ideas?

How do I create a subscribeurl for a mailing list?

I defined a public mailing list and I want to provide an url for Anonymous users to subscribe to this mailing list. Does such a thing exist for the mass mailer module? or does the user have to be 'at least' and authenticated user in order to join a public mailing list?

Is there a way to be notified via email when new comments are posted?

I've been looking thorugh the various site options but haven't found it...

Upload module problem

I have the upload module enabled (along with fscache and filestore2).

I have created the category and associated it with file uploads.

I can upload files and the files I upload are anywhere from 500k to 2 meg, but when anyone downloads them the files are always around 6k in size and corrupt.
